The company
For the last five years Jumbo Offshore has been building its reputation as a solid installation contractor with a clear focus on subsea structures, mooring systems and renewables. Our DP2 installation vessels Jumbo Javelin and Fairplayer are equipped with two 900 t  Huisman mast cranes. With an enormous deck and large storage capacity these vessels are suitable for installation and transportation all in one go. In addition, our deepwater winches enable us to install equipment as deep as 3,300 meters.

For the Commercial Department of Jumbo Offshore we are looking for an Offshore Tender Engineer / Cost Estimator. The Tender Engineer reports to the Contracts & Proposals Manager.

The job
• develop the method statement with the engineering and operations departments;
• accurate preparation of the cost sheet;
• formulate the technical and commercial qualifications;
• compile the final tender submission documents;
• provide technical input from the ITT to the Engineering as required for the generation of the method statement;
• obtain technical and commercial (price) information from potential subcontractors as required for preparation of proposal.

The profile
• BSc./MSc. Degree in Engineering (i.e. Mechanical or Civil Engineering or Naval Architecture);
• several years experience in a similar function or experience in a position with preparation or execution of offshore installation projects;
• experience in offshore industry is required;
• understanding of offshore installation;
• knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to offshore transportation and installation works;
• diligent attitude to costing;
• fully conversant in English (verbally and in writing);
• good communication skills;
• pragmatic and customer oriented.
